Priory Court
On 4 July 2023, the Local Planning Authority granted permission for Sixty Bricks to build 83 new homes on the estate, with a minimum of 52% as affordable housing.
Three new apartment blocks will be built on vacant land on the Priory Court estate in Walthamstow The new homes, a mixture of 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom apartments will come in a range of tenures, social rent, shared ownership and market sale. More than 60% of homes being provided will be family-sized apartments.
A new Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) built to Sports England standards will be built, and a spectator zone and amenity hut have been included in the designs as a result of community feedback received last year.
A children's play area and a range of estate improvements including CCTV enhanced street lighting and landscaping works will be incorporated.
Construction is expected to start early next year and take around 2 years to complete.

This Sixty Bricks development at Priory Court will deliver 83 new homes, of which 21 will be for social rent, 19 for shared ownership and 43 for private sale.
The new homes will be a mix of one, two and three bedroom apartments in three blocks ranging from five to six stories in height. All homes will feature private gardens or balconies and access to landscaped communal areas and play areas.
The design proposals included a new Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) built to Sports England standards, office and amenity spaces, children's play area and a range of environmental improvements.
Consultation Period: July to October 2022
Sixty Bricks commissioned NewmanFrancis as the Independent Tenants' and Residents Advice Service in July 2022 to arrange a number of consultation events for the community to have their say in shaping the design proposals for this scheme. NewmanFrancis spoke to nearly 300 people on the estate and 4 workshops were held with those who use the existing Multi Use Games Area (MUGA).
